Interview with Martin Kezmann, lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur.
Question: How long have you been using Allplan at your institute of education?
Mr. Kezmann: “Allplan has been available at the institute for three or four years, but it has only been used intensively for the last two years since I came to lecture at Winterthur. We use the program across all modules, but primarily in the field of civil engineering, from the bridge modeler to the terrain model through to reinforcement in 3D. I attach particular importance to working with structures (plot sets, layer structures, etc.).”
Question: What is it that you like about Allplan as a CAD platform?
Mr. Kezmann: “There are three things about Allplan that I like in particular: it is user-friendly, the software is versatile and you can learn how to use it quickly.”
Question: What do you think about the new Allplan Campus initiative?
Mr. Kezmann: “I really like the initiative. A lot of my students are already familiar with the website and are already using the various services it offers. Placing the focus on the students and teachers equates to making an important investment in the future. This absolutely meets my expectations.”
Question: How can you and your students take advantage of our products?
“For me, the numerous ready-made training materials represent excellent teaching aids. I myself have picked up lots of tips from the website, thereby furthering my own knowledge. I can also refer to the content on the website and suggest the students watch a particular video or download certain information.”
